Financial Clarity Coach is a personal financial coaching practice run by Gautam Mehta. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe — in plain language.
What We Collect
When you work with us, we may collect:
- Contact information — your name, email address, and phone number
- Financial statements — bank and credit card statements you upload (PDF or CSV) for analysis
- Coaching notes — information shared during our sessions relevant to your financial picture
- Payment information — processed securely through Stripe (we never see or store your full card number)
How We Use It
Your information is used to:
- Deliver the financial coaching services you signed up for
- Analyze your transactions and prepare your financial audit report
- Communicate with you about your engagement
- Process payments
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.
Data Security
Financial statements are uploaded through Assembly, a document portal that holds SOC 2 Type 2 certification — the same security standard used by banks and financial institutions. Your files are encrypted in transit and at rest.
Access to client data is limited to Gautam Mehta and the secure tools used to deliver your engagement. No team members, contractors, or outside parties have access to your financial information.
Automated Transaction Analysis
We use automated transaction analysis tools to categorize and review your spending data as part of the audit process. These tools:
- Process your data only for the purpose of delivering your engagement
- Do not retain your data after processing
- Do not use your data to train models or improve third-party products
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain client data for 12 months after your engagement ends, so you can reference your materials or follow up on recommendations.
After 12 months, your data is permanently deleted. If you'd like your data deleted sooner, just ask — we'll take care of it promptly at any time.
Third Parties
We use a small number of trusted services to operate:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles your payment data under their own privacy policy.
- Assembly — secure document upload portal (SOC 2 Type 2 certified)
We do not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising tools on this website.
Cookies
This website uses only cookies essential for basic site functionality. We do not use tracking cookies, third-party cookies, or analytics cookies.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data at any time
